How To Find A Trustworthy Lender
Mar 27th, 2009 by Billy

The internet has made it fast, private and convenient to get the short-term loan you need. But how do you know which companies you can trust with your personal information? Below are four sure-fire ways you can make sure your lender can help you get the money you need, safely.

* Look for professional affiliation. Most banking and lending industries have a self-legislating trade association that enforces fair practices and standards. The Community Financial Services Association (CFSA) is a strong proponent of payday loan and cash advance consumers, so finding the CFSA logo on a lender’s site is a strong indicator of trustworthiness.
* Ensure it’s secure. Due to the prevalence of identity theft on the internet, it’s important to find a lender that can ensure your safety. Look for companies that use VeriSign internet security technology, as they can offer you the greatest safeguard against online predators.
* Dig deeper. Any licensed or approved lender will have in-depth and easy-to-read Rates & Terms outlined on their website or advertisements. So don’t just ignore the fine print. Read the rules and statutes for your state and avoid any lender that doesn’t clearly outline their fees and/or certification.
* When in doubt, ask around. If you’re still not sure about a company, ask your friends, neighbors or family if they have any experience with the lender. Often times the people closest to you can give you the best advice. Also, many lenders will offer Refer-a-Friend programs. If you get a referral email or discount from such a lender, there’s a good chance your friends have had a positive experience as well.

Cash Advance Loans
Mar 6th, 2009 by Billy

Everyone gets caught short once in a while… having more month left than money happens to everyone.

Years ago you’d go cap-in-hand to your local bank and apply for an over-draft loan (a loan against your bank account that allows you to owe the bank money until you can next pay it back) but this is no longer the only option.

Now you can easily log-in and click-to a cash advance website, one that you choose with the terms you like, to easily get an advance on your next paycheck.

No more do you need to ask your boss for an advance on your pay check… no more embarrassments at work explaining why you’re broke!

Online cash advances allow you the privacy of your personal financial situation you deserve.

And applying for this type of cash advance usually requires less information and hurdles to get over than your local bank would require.

Cash advance loans are the modern over-draft system… often with similar or less fees than your bank would charge you.

Shop around, click to the sites you like… get the cash you need.

The Hundred-Dollar-A-Day Budget
Mar 5th, 2009 by Billy

When I was younger, and had a habit of running out of money very quickly, and often struggling to pay rent and other bills on time, I devised a way to help me budget my money.

I was told to get a book and into it write down everything I paid for and do this for a whole month. Then when the month was over I was to analyze what I spent where.
That never worked for me… I just didn’t have the discipline to do it.

So, what I did instead is I came up with the “Hundred Dollar A Day Budget”.

I wrote down all my incoming money and all of my bills that had to be paid on a regular basis. I also included estimations for such things as gas, insurance, groceries.

And whatever I had left over would make up my “Hundred Dollar Days”.

These were days where I could afford to spend up to one hundred dollars and still be confident that I was able to pay my bills through the month.

Mind you, I only had five or six hundred dollar days in my monthly budget, but it sure helped me to realize what I needed to save on and what I could spend and when.

Maybe this budget technique will work for you too!
